Professional Japanese Tutoring in Illawarra
I am a professional Japanese tutor based in the Illawarra region. Since 2012, I have taught Japanese to more than 300 local students, helping them achieve their language goals through tailored, high-quality lessons.
I support students of all levels and backgrounds, including those working towards:
Travel & Culture: Beginner conversation and preparation for holidays, work, or Working Holiday Visas in Japan.
High School Curriculum: HSC (Continuers and Extension) and Distance Education courses (Karabar, Open High School, etc.).
University Students: Support for university students (including experience with UOW students and other universities) and Open University courses.
Proficiency & Career: JLPT preparation (N5 to N1) and job interview preparation for Japanese companies (with a proven track record of helping students succeed).
Heritage Language Learners: Supporting students learning Japanese as a heritage language.

Lesson Materials & Approach

Flexible Options: You do not need to buy a textbook immediately.For the first 5 to 10 lessons, I will provide my own custom-made handouts to get you started smoothly.

Recommended Textbook: For ongoing study, I highly recommend the GENKI: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese series. We typically start with Volume 1 for beginners and progress to Volume 2 as your skills grow.

Bring Your Own Materials: If you are already studying with a specific textbook, workbook, or school/university materials, please feel free to bring them along! I am more than happy to tailor our lessons around the resources you already have.

3. Policies & Contact
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Payment: All payments are to be made via bank transfer. Please ensure payment is completed on or before the day of your scheduled class.
Cancellation: If you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify me by text, email, or phone at least one day in advance.
Same-Day Cancellations: Cancellations made on the day of the lesson will incur 100% of the lesson fee.
